Use and maintenance of your sprinkler system

  1. Start with a solid design.
  2. Spring start-up of the sprinkler system is critical.
  3. Following spring activation, turn on all zones from the clock.
  4. Make sure all rotors are adjusted to cover the intended area.
  5. Plants are like sprinklers.
  6. When designing and installing your sprinkler system, use square or triangular spacing whenever possible.
  7. Spacing of the nozzle matters.
  8. Slope, exposure, and soil type are also very important.
  9. Check how many gallons per minute are available at your site.
  10. Maintenance is extremely important.
  11. Adjust timer seasonally.
  12. Turn off the system when it rains, or install a rain or moisture sensor so you don’t have to turn on and off manually.
  13. How long should I run each zone?
